Love this article and the comics. Out of all of the comics, number #2 totally hit home. The hardest part of being together is knowing that it will come to an end. The day before he or I is scheduled to leave, I get this heavy, sinking pit down deep in my stomach. No matter how hard I try fighting it , it is always the same. It’s almost like death in a way as they are here one day (physically) and gone the next. It’s a heart crushing, gut wrenching blow!
It usually takes a couple weeks to get adjusted back to the normal routine and emotions. It feels like a fairy tale that came to an end all too soon!
Talking about the mixed feelings of seeing each other again. Hope you guys close the distance soon!
8, 10, 11 & 16 I can say resonate with me but number 10 hits the hardest. I ALWAYS save our conversations and record them in my journal as part of our story to look back over. It really does help me get through and not give up and love songs will play in my head that make me create a soundtrack to the moments. One recommendation would be ‘Crush’ by 3Gs. I think it’s really cool there are some people that can understand that LDR’s can be just as amazing as a normal relationship. 4 hit me so hard I cried though XDD My bf will like arrive at the airport, stun me into a squealing puddle with his handsomeness, and then literally be like “I don’t want to leave yet.” XDD I remember the first time, we sat on the rocking chair in complete silence, a few days away from him leaving again, and said nothing as we rocked and cuddled. It was super hard. And 16 and 5 are so my bf XDD He’s always falling asleep mid conversation xD (10 hour difference). And OHHH MY GOD 6!! There is not enough eye roll in the world to explain the awkwardness and embarrassment this brings XD I’m really glad I found this post. I experienced a lot of things and will be sending them to my bf xD
